Very slow service...we ordered and paid then waited 20 minutes for coffee which arrived minus the hot milk. We have been here several times over the last few months but the service is always slow and frequently get different coffee to that ordered. The cakes are nice but this does not make up for very slow service.

We waited over 20 minutes for coffee and cake. When it eventually came, 2 drinks were missing which meant a further wait. Then one coffee came with no milk, sugar or spoon, which I had to ask for again - another trip back and forth. Service time and accuracy was atrocious. Coke was flat.

Coffe very nice but a crazily slow and overcomplicated ordering/ delivery system. A manager serves then disappears staff look bewildered and leave coffee to go cold on counter before delivering to customers. Person making coffee keeps asking who this is for? Although she served you. Strange.

Hired Dapa out for an 18th birthday venue. The venue is a lovely place and has alot of potential. Doesn't need to be dressed up loads for it to look really good. Down side. The choice of alcohol was diabolical. One cocktail was made which was not drinkable. No tequila, ran out of red bull, ran out of Kopperburg and also Corona. The venue also never had change when paying with cash. Not somewhere I would use again. It's a shame.

Recently, (May 2024) booked Dapa for an evening surprise 40th birthday. Martin and his staff were amazing. In a world where we’re quick to whinge when something goes wrong, I felt it equally important to do the same when EVERYTHING went right. Great night, thank you DAPA.

First time visiting this place and will be the last. Food came, landed up finishing our toasties then the drinks arrived. Cappuccino tasted like dishwater had no coffee flavour. The toasted sandwich was tasteless and soggy. Pity about this as place has nice atmosphere. But service was slow and food was disappointing.

This is my second time having a bad experience at dapa. It saddens me to write this review but I always try to support local independents as much as possible for obvious reasons. The first time I visited, I had to wait 45 minutes for a peppermint tea. When I enquired where it was after 20 minutes I had horrible attitude back towards me. When it was placed in front of me it was in a dirty cup and not a word was uttered to me. My second negative visit I felt as if I’m sat in a glorified youth club. All the waiters friends had taken the majority of the seats and were being loud and obnoxious. The waiters were talking to their friends whilst I was waiting by the till to be served for a good few minutes before I was acknowledged. Their friends were going in and out of the kitchen and were behind the bar area helping themselves to cakes. I’m utterly shocked at the foul language used by the staff and their friends. The management team need to step in desperately. I write this review with only well wishes and issues that have been mentioned be addressed

Dapa is a really interesting independent coffee spot in the heart of Formby village. Surrounded by chains, it is a rare and welcome change of pace! The decor is different, interesting, and to some a little odd. But personally I'm a big fan, and appreciate the risks they took differentiating themselves from the local competition. Service was quick and efficient. The coffee is INCREDIBLY bitter, at first. But once you get past that, it's actually very nice. The latte art was okay, which immediately makes it better than almost every other Cafe nearby, but there's definitely still improvements to be made here as the milk clearly wasn't textured right (see photo). Highchairs and outdoor seating were both available.

We decided to take a pass on the local Costa and give Dapa Coffee a try today 02.10.2022. After calming T-Reb we entered quietly and found a quiet spot that resembled the local National Park. Lovely peaceful little coffee house with cakes and beers for use on the school run. Back to what you want to know, Latte and coffee Orio Cookie concoction that the lovely member of staff advised that she normally does as a bit of a show stopper on both were amazing. We shared as you do Lemon cake and Rocky Road both well especially the Rocky Road one of the best richest tasting versions we have had. Good show all round special thanks to the member of of staff with the show stopper good to have share a bit of pride in what you do it makes a difference in whatever we do, thanks again.
