Original review :Friendly from the moment I walked in great barber shop feel and good conversation throughout an even better cut. Second visit: I was met with the complete polar opposite from staff this time just have you booked I replied no to be told to scan a QR code no appointments available. Last time I visited I hadn’t booked and was told walk in’s are welcome and asked what I was after and asked if I didn’t mind waiting. They might have been busy this time fair enough but shouldn’t be made to feel like an idiot for walking in to a barbers for a haircut.

I started going to BarbersNo1 Formby at the start of last year, following a recommendation. I got my hair cut by the store manager, Jay. Even though I was a new customer Jay made me feel welcome, was down to earth and a good laugh. I asked for a skin fade and trim on top, it was genuinely the best haircut I’ve ever had - his attention to detail is second to none. I’ve been visiting the store and Jay ever since, using the online booking system. It is easy to use and easy to request your preferred barber. I honestly can’t recommend the shop enough, especially Jay. He’s a top barber who clearly knows his stuff. I’d definitely recommend

Used barbers no1 for a while but definitely the best one! Never had a bad hair cut and always well looked after in there. Had hair cuts off Jay and Jack and would highly recommend both barbers👍

Best hair cut Iv had, can’t fault the staff; especially jay. Attentive and friendly everytime always keep the shop clean and tidy. Jay who I always go to in formby has become my only barber since it’s opened. Really recommend

Dreadful cut on my son’s hair today - no contact number to call and complain . His hair looks like a toddler has cut it - the neckline is not straight and the fringe is an absolute mess ! He’s too upset to go and get it sorted out . It looked okish in the barbers but when went home to try and brush it so that it looked finished… it’s a holy mess ! Never again !

Honestly the best haircut I've ever had! Really friendly staff. I was quickly seen to by Megan. Her attention to detail was like none other. Couldn't recommend her more, especially if you're after scissor+clipper/medium length cuts. Will definitely be visiting again when in the area. Parking just outside, cash only although cash point next door.

My first time in barber No1. Asked for a high skin fade, and a beard shape up. Best fade Iv had in a long time, always change barbers but I'll definitely be coming back again. Had a good laugh and chat with the lads also. Great atmosphere. Jay is a top lad and quality barber, can tell he knows his stuff.
